How to sprout and make sprout salad

How to sprout?

  • Clean the seeds to be sprouted well;
  • Soak it in clean water for 15 hours;
  • Wash, drain water and transfer it to a dry vessel. Close it with a lid and keep a heavy object on the top. Do not disturb;
  • The next day, wash it well, drain the water and keep it again for 24 hours closed with a lid. Keep a heavy object on the top and do not disturb it;
  • After another 24 hours, you can see the seeds would have sprouted well. Spread it on a plate, dry it for 5 minutes and your sprouts are ready to be used in salads.

Sprouted salad ingredients:

  • 1 cup sprouted seeds;
  • 1/2 tbsp oil;
  • 2 grated carrots;
  • a handful of grated cabbage;
  • 1 capsicum;
  • 1 cucumber;
  • 2 green chillies;
  • 1 tbsp ginger;
  • 1/2 lemon;
  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Mix grated carrots, cabbage, chopped capsicum, cucumber, sprouts and salt together in a bowl;
  • Heat 1/2 tbsp of oil and add with green chillies and ginger to it;
  • Add lemon juice to it and add the sprouted mixer to it;
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. Healthy sprout salad is ready to be served.
